history in the making

Originally established in 1973 and closing in 2014 my grandfather Tom Bradley owned and operated Standingwolfe campground for 41 years.  His love for the outdoors was the reason he opened so people could come and enjoy the rivers, streams, wildlife, and all the beauty these wonderful mountains have to offer.

I became owner in 2021 after his passing and started renovations hooking up to city water and sewer, 50/30/20 amp hook ups and WiFi. We 0fficially  reopened in 2024 with 10 RV sites and 5 primitive tent sites, with plans for more to come. Adjoining our campground is our family farm where we grow culturally significant crops for our Cherokee community. My family has lived and farmed this property for nearly a century.
